Thanks to its simple but effective Blend control, the Purple Humper gives you a smooth and controllable midrange boost. At its lowest, the pedal subtly enhances your tone, providing a warm BJF signature buffer sound, whereas at its fullest, the pedal strengthens your mid frequencies by up to +15 dB, producing incredibly rich tones ideal for a range of styles.

Although it provides a significant boost to the relative strength of your guitar's midrange frequencies, the pedal is designed not to raise the overall acoustic volume. This means you can use the full range of the knob without risk of overloading your system, even when used in combination with powerful distortion effects.
