Completely Reproduced Rotary System

The Lex rotary pedal recreates the classic sounds of a rotary speaker cabinet, using hand crafted rotary algorithms to deliver a completely accurate reproduction of a rotary system. Featuring a low frequency bass rotor, a rotating treble horn, a tube driven amp, a fine tuned mic placement, and complex sonic interactions between these elements in a compact and durable design. The pedal also features a slow/fast footswitch for alternating between slow and fast rotary speeds, and when the switch is held down acts as a rotary break. The Lex has also been design with bi-ampling, allowing you to send the bass rotor signals out of the left output, and the treble horn out of the right, which then can be plugged into two stacked cabs to add another dimension to your sound.

Controls and Secondary Functions

With eight tweakable parameters over the rotary’s tone and mechanics, the Lex can go from dramatic and up close sweeping, swirling sounds, to a mellow, tranquil undulations. The fast rotor speed control knob adjusts the speed of the rotor when the pedal is in fast mode, going from a relaxing 4Hz to a speed greater than 8 rotations per second. The secondary function is controls for the slow speed rotor, adjusting the speed of the rotor when the pedal in in slow mode. When set to zero, you can then set up a one-speed rotary system that will switch between fats and stationary.

The mic distance control changes the location of the mic, from up close, tight, and intense. The secondary function controls the cab direction, changing the position of the cab to the mic, with the choice between front and rear. The Horn level knob controls the volume of the horn, while the second function controls the acceleration time, changing the time it takes for the rotary system to speed up and slow down. The preamp drive knob overdrives the input feeding the rotary speaker effect, creating harmonics that add growl and fatness. The secondary function boost/cuts the effect by +/- 6dB.
