Comments from customers who bought this item:
MiniLab is a full-featured MIDI controller designed to work with any music software or DAW you own. The MiniLab goes a step beyond other mini-key controllers, though. It’s a great MIDI controller and it also includes the Analog Lab software, which provides a dream studio of classic keyboards. The combination of MiniLab and Analog Lab creates an amazing hybrid synthesizer with excellent functionality and great sound. Having direct access to 8 user presets further expands your control options. MiniLab includes Arturia's free MIDI Control Center software that lets you map parameters in a simple and easy way directly from your computer. Those presets are then stored in the MiniLab for instant recall.
The MiniLab keyboard is designed for maximum portability, flexibility and performance. It’s small enough to fit in a laptop bag, but big on features. The ergonomic spacing of the 16 encoders and 8 pads keeps this small controller from feeling cramped. The touch strip controls for Pitch bend and Modulation offer low profile controllers with ‘last position hold’ or ‘return to zero’ modes of operation. The MiniLab offers you more control options than any other compact USB/MIDI controller on the market. It features 25 velocity-sensitive mini-keys alongside Arturia's brand new pitch and modulation touch strip controls, giving you maximum expression and playability in a highly portable package. We included 16 assignable encoders so you’ll have everything you need to program and perform wherever you may be. Two banks of 8 backlit performance pads, for 16 total, can be easily assigned as drum pads, MIDI CC buttons or Program change switches. The recessed, full-sized USB jack and assignable footswitch input will keep your connections safe and out of the way. It all adds up: MiniLab is the premier mobile keyboard solution.
Limited Black Edition Bundle
For a limited time, the MiniLab comes complete with four extra software titles for the same price as a regular MiniLab - Oberheim SEM V, Analog Lab, Ableton Live 9 Lite and UVI Grand Piano Model D.
Oberheim SEM V is a faithful reproduction of the original SEM from 1974, with an oscillator sync, characteristic filter shape and specific envelope response. But it goes further than just sound great thanks to the added polyphony and multitimbral capability, the exclusive 8-Voice programmer module and the modulation Matrix.
Analog Lab software is like the V Collection packaged into a single instrument; among the sound engines modeled are Mini V, CS-80 V, Jupiter-8V, ARP 2600 V, Modular V, Oberheim SEM V, Matrix-12 V, the VOX Continental-V organ and the Wurlitzer-V electric piano. Analog Lab combines the sound from all of these incredible instruments in a simplified and more accessible way, offering an ergonomic interface with a quick and effective brower system - no more hunting around for your favourite sounds.
Ableton Live 9 Lite is a starter version of one of the most popular digital audio workstations ever made - the DAW in which thousands of songs are composed and recorded each day. Seamlessly integrating with the MiniLab's workflow, Live 9 Lite offers an intuitive and convenient deep working environment that boasts a large selection of audio and MIDI effects, as well as many drum resources.
The Grand Piano Model D from UVI is a sample-based instrument that delivers that sound of the classic Steinway Model D Concert Grand. This unmistakable sound is the legacy of more than 150 years of history, captured with the best recording equipment in the best conditions possible. The UVI Grand Piano integrates perfectly with the sounds of Analog Lab, Prophet-V and Solina V - adding authentic acoustic flavour to your vast electronic sound collection.
