BG Clarinet Tradition Ligature in Rose Gold

The BG Clarinet Tradition Ligature is made from metal so it can produce open, bright sounds that vibrate vigorously from top to bottom of the reed. This BG ligature is rose gold which means it can produce much softer, deeper and also more flexible tones that are directly projected. The rose gold metal makes this ligature perfect for classical solo performers. The ligature helps to articulate each note separately which is great for those practices needed to perfect a performance. Perfect for both students and professionals, this product is a great teacher of sound.

How Does A Ligature Affect The Sound?

The ligature holds together both the mouthpiece and the reed as they generate the vibrations. Metal ligatures make the vibrations more wild and vigorous as opposed to the fabric materials that really hold those vibrations in for a dampened outcome. The articulation is made faster, easier and cleaner thanks to these components all working together as one to produce the notes.

Perfect for Students and Professionals Alike

A ligature helps players to articulate each note individually which is really helpful for new learners during their practice period, but also for professionals that like to scrutinise each note to make their performance perfect.

The Reason Why BG Only Make Inverted Ligatures

The produced sounds come from the vibrations of the reed and the mouthpiece. The reed vibrates from top to bottom because of the empty canals. The sound that the ligatures produce can be affected in a few ways e.g. the pressure points on the reed all have an effect on the sound, as well as screws that can either damage or alter the sax's vibrations. BG uses "one screw" to optimise the ligatures and each of them produce different sounds. This particular ligature is perfect for classical solo pieces.

Rose Gold

The rose gold produces softer, deeper and more flexible tones whilst directly projecting the sound. The metal counteracts the vibrations making them edgier and better suited to classical solo performances.

Metal Ligature

A metal ligature will produce an open and much brighter sound as opposed to a fabric ligature thats sound is dampened and rounded.
