2014 Brit Award Nominations Announced
London band Bastille and duo of brothers Disclosure are leading the nominations for the 2014 Brit awards with four nominations each in the British Breakthrough Act, British Group, British Single and British Album of the Year categories.
David Bowie and Arctic Monkeys are up for two awards each, with Bowie's Best Male nomination coming 30 years after he last won the prize in 1984.
The Critic's Choice Award winner is Sam Smith, also the winner of the BBC Sound of 2014, which predicts which artists are headed for big things in the coming months. International nominees include Arcade Fire, Daft Punk, Janelle Monae and Drake.
