3D visuals begin to make their mark in music industry
Newcastle-based collective Novak has begun using 3D visuals in a series of exclusive 3D visuals globally, enabling guests to experience stunning 3D accompaniments to music, which react in real time.
Using software created by video games developer Unity, the Novak team has created a new way of displaying visual accompaniments to music played live, according to Wired.
Speaking to the magazine, Novak partner Andrew Nixon explained: "It's like playing an instrument live, rather than playing back sections of recorded music.
"For every beat, say, we could have a circle getting bigger."
So far, the technology has proved particularly popular with clubbers as part of the Novak 3D Disco series.
No doubt Novak's visuals would have proved popular among the audience present at Sydney-based DJ Joe Mekhael's record breaking set earlier this month.
Smokin' Joe set a new world record by spending more than 132 hours behind the decks - the longest set ever.
