AC/DC say no to digital

AC/DC have once again said they will not be making their music available online.

Legendary rock and roll band AC/DC have once again confirmed their commitment to traditional music by stating their entire collection of hits will never be sold digitally.

The Australian rockers are one of the few remaining major artists to not make their catalogue available online on music services like iTunes.

Last year saw the Beatles finally make their music available digitally after years of disagreement, arguments and negotiations with themselves, EMI and Apple.

Speaking in London at the world premiere of their new film Live at the River Plate, guitar player Angus Young told Sky News: "I know the Beatles have changed but we’re going to carry on like that. For us it’s the best way. We are a band who started off with albums and that’s how we’ve always been."

He went on to say that he disliked the idea of album songs being released individually – they should be heard as part of the concept of an album he said.

The film was shot in December 2009 when the band played in front of 200,000 screaming fans in Buenos Aires. It was the first time they had been back to Argentina in 13 years.

AC/DC formed in 1973 and are best known for their smash album Back in Black which has sold over 22 million copies in the US alone.
