Akai has confirmed the release of the MPC Touch - the company's latest and most advanced product in the MPC range, to date.

Ever thought you would be able to grab, pinch waveforms and draw midi events on your controller? Well, this has now become a reality with Akai's MPC Touch.

The 7" LCD screen on the Touch allows users to add a new dimension to the work flow with the aforementioned methods whilst combining this with the classic, award-winning MPC feel.

The controller also boasts 16 velocity-sensitive pads, can be used as an interface, data encoder dial as well as more than 20 GB of sounds with the MPC software included with the Touch.

"Our new MPC Touch is an incredibly noteworthy event in the evolution of the Akai Professional product lineup. Years of research, customer feedback and cutting-edge engineering development has led directly to the most capable and innovative MPC we've ever offered," said Dan Gill, Product Manager for Akai Professional.
