Adam Lambert to join Queen?
Electric guitar legend Brian May has said he would be tempted to work with American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert.
His comments to Rolling Stone have now sparked rumours that the performer could be set to replace the late Freddie Mercury as frontman for the legendary rock group.
Mercury died of an Aids-related illness in 1991, while bass guitarist John Deacon retired from the music scene later in the decade.
May and Taylor have since performed under the Queen banner with acts as diverse as Britney Spears, Robbie Williams and Five, and recently toured and recorded a new album with Free and Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers.
However, Rodgers recently told VH1 Classic Radio that his collaboration was Queen was now over - which means Lambert could be poised to fill the vacancy.
"We - as Queen - [would not] rush into coalescing with another singer just like that," May commented.
"But I'd certainly like to work with Adam."
