Adam Lambert 'would be honoured to sing with Queen'
The American Idol runner-up performed We Are The Champions with drummer Roger Taylor and electric guitar player Brian May during the last series of the TV show.
This sparked rumours that Lambert could be about to replace the late Freddie Mercury as frontman of the legendary rock band, who recently ended their collaboration with Free and Bad Company vocalist Paul Rodgers.
While the speculation proved to be unfounded, Lambert has revealed that he would be honoured to sing with Queen at any time.
"Queen is one of my all-time favourite bands," he told the Baltimore Sun.
"Freddie Mercury was a huge influence on me musically."
Meanwhile, American Idol winner Kris Allen has hailed singing with Brian May as one of the "coolest experiences" of his life.
He told Express Night Out that he is a "huge" fan of Queen and described the electric guitar player as an incredible musician.Posted on 6 Aug 2009 12:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
