Adele: Bon Iver album best record of the year
Pop sensation Adele has given her now important seal of approval to Bon Iver's self-titled new studio album by calling it her "record of the year".
Writing on her blog, the singer, who was recently voted the most powerful person in British music by a Guardian poll, explained that she had been waiting eagerly for the indie-folk band to release a follow up to their debut album For Emma, Forever Ago.
She described that album as the most "moving record she had ever heard".
Of the new album she was equally praiseworthy: "You know when someone's life flashes before their eyes in a film, and every memory flashes before their eyes. It happens when you listen to him sing, but you survive it!"
She added: "Please listen if you haven't already. So so special!"
The album entered the UK Official Album Chart at the number four position.
Adele has recently had to put down her microphone and stop performing as doctors have ordered her to rest voice as she has been suffering from laryngitis.
As such, she cancelled her US tour and has been told to quit smoking.
