Singing sensation Adele is to team up with one of the biggest hip hop stars in the world for what could be a musical marriage made in heaven, according to a tabloid newspaper.

The Sun reported that the 21-year-old star has met up with Jay-Z, who has been in the country to support his wife Beyonce at Glastonbury Festival.

Although she has had to put down her microphone for the time being because of laryngitis, Jay-Z and the rest of the world know what she is capable of, having recorded one of the most successful albums of the digital age.

A source told the newspaper: "It's not often he is overwhelmed by people when he meets them, but Adele was on top form as usual. She talked him under the table. He was chuckling all the way through their chat."

While Beyonce was busy preparing for her bootylicious headline performance at the festival, the rapper and music mogul has been busy networking with UK's finest music stars.

Interestingly, Adele was said to have recommended that Jay-Z check out Paulo Nutini, advice he seemed to take onboard given that he was spotted watching the young musician at the side of the stage.

Beyonce made history at Glastonbury by being its first female headline act in over 20 years.
