Aerosmith guitar player 'cuts loose' with solo album
Electric guitar player Joe Perry has said his new solo album did not take long to write and record.
The Aerosmith veteran, who released the LP this week, stated that Have Guitar, Will Travel has a "kind of vibe" to it.
Speaking to The Rock Radio, he said this is partly because it was written and recorded in what he described as a burst of energy.
Perry attributed this partly to his frustration over the fact that the recording of the next Aerosmith LP had to be put back.
"I was so ready to do to the Aerosmith record, I just had to cut loose," he commented.
Perry added that while he is always writing and recording, he did not think his solo album would be ready so soon.
The Gibson Les Paul player has been performing with Aerosmith since 1970, but has made five solo albums and has also performed with artists as diverse as Tom Jones and Gene Simmons.Posted on 7 Oct 2009 14:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
