Alex Turner: I'm loving country music
The singer-songwriter of one of the UK's most famous bands revealed that he got into country music while recording the band's fourth studio album.
Music lovers who downloaded a copy of Suck It and See will know that there was no influence of the genre on the band's sound – Turner just likes listening to it.
"I started getting into country music which is something I've never gone anywhere near until quite recently, like I never understood it before," Turner told Central Queensland News.
"I know I'm never going to write a country tune, that just wouldn't work, but for that reason I can draw something from it...The sound doesn't speak to me but the lyrics do."
The frontman has recently being sporting a fifties look with a quiff and leather jacket combo.
Earlier this month the band said they would let Miles Kane join the band if he asked.
