Alex Turner 'hoping to write James Bond theme'
Electric guitar player Alex Turner has admitted he would love the chance to create the theme tune for a James Bond film.
The Arctic Monkeys frontman has recently written six songs for the new British film Submarine, but explained he does not see himself making soundtracks on a regular basis.
"I don't think I'd be very good at doing the soundtrack for Transformers or anything like that," he told BBC 6 Music.
But Turner added that he would be willing to make an exception for the spy movie franchise.
"That's a different story. I'd love to do a tune for Bond. Definitely," the electric guitar player explained.
Arctic Monkeys are bringing out new album Suck It and See on June 6th, having recorded the LP with producer James Ford in Los Angeles.
Turner and the rest of the band are set to head off on a tour of the US during May and early June, as well as being lined up for a host of live appearances in Europe during the summer.
They are to play two homecoming gigs at the Don Valley Bowl in Sheffield on June 10th and 11th.
