Amanda Palmer's The Killing Type freebie
And one of her more recent tracks is called The Killing Type. It features on Palmer's latest LP, which is due out early next month.
But fans won't have to wait until the album's release to hear the track, because Palmer has kindly let them have a copy for free! The singer's Facebook page provides a link that fans can click on in order to snap up their copy.
"Its origins are unique — I wrote it entirely in my head on a walk," Palmer has said of the song on NPR Music, "as opposed to sitting at the piano."
That site also gives the song a profanity warning, and we would add that there are images of the violence in the lyrics – so be warned.
Earlier this year, Palmer released a single called Polly – meanwhile, her next album has been given the striking title Theatre Is Evil.
The theatrical-venue-themed nature of this title brings to mind the most recent album of another popular piano playing singer songwriter, Regina Spektor, whose May release bore the name What We Saw From The Cheap Seats.
