Amanda promises emotion and enigma.
Piano player and singer Amanda Palmer has said that her record producer once sent her a piece of fan mail.

Interviewed by Bilboard.com, the artist said: "Three or four years ago, John [Congleton] wrote me a fan letter one day, and said, 'I love Dresden Dolls [Amanda's band] and I would love to work with you. What have you got planned?'"

Congleton is now helping her to record an album which will apparently be available in the autumn, according to Billboard.

Amanda Palmer's songs as a solo artist include Runs in the Family, Leeds United and Astronaut.

She commented in the Billboard piece that the material for the autumn record has a strong element of emotion to it. She also suggested that the tracks' meanings are enigmatic and that laying them down has been a process of discovery.

They will make an appearance on the internet prior to being made into the likes of CDs, according to the article.

Ben Folds (of Ben Folds Five) was a producer on Palmer's album Who Killed Amanda Palmer, says Billboard.

He also once collaborated with another piano playing female singer, Regina Spektor, for the track You Don't Know Me.
