Arcade Fire 'to tour in spring 2011'
Arcade Fire are set to tour during spring next year, the band's multi-instrumentalist Will Butler has revealed.
Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, the electric guitar and synthesizer player explained that the group would prefer to tour at that time of year rather than over the winter as the weather will be nicer to drive around in.
He did not say where the band will visit during their proposed spring tour.
Butler added that Arcade Fire also want to do some writing in the winter, something they have never previously achieved properly during a touring cycle.
"We're going to see if we can maybe get into a different rhythm besides the tour, tour, tour, rest, rest, rest, tour, tour, tour, rest, rest, rest," the musician explained.
Arcade Fire are to play in the UK next month, kicking off a run of shows at the O2 Arena in London on December 1st.
