Arctic Monkeys and Eminem to headline V Festival 2011
Rapper Eminem and electric guitar band Arctic Monkeys have been announced as the headline acts for this year's V Festival.
The American star will appear at Weston Park in Staffordshire on Saturday August 20th and Hylands Park in Essex the following night, with the Sheffield group set to perform in the Midlands on the Sunday and in the south the day before.
Playing at V will be part of a busy summer for Arctic Monkeys, who are also due to headline two homecoming shows at the Don Valley Bowl in June.
Other acts who have been confirmed for the festival include Rihanna, Plan B, Dizzee Rascal, Duran Duran and Pendulum.
Ticketholders can also look forward to performances from indie veterans Manic Street Preachers, electric guitar band The Courteeners and solo star Bruno Mars.
There are places on the bill for the likes of Primal Scream, Tinie Tempah, Razorlight, Jessie J and Mark Ronson as well.
Organisers have promised they have many more acts to announce for the festival's four stages over the next few months.
A new addition to the V Festival for 2011 is the Comedy Stage, with the line-up for this arena yet to be confirmed.
