Ash 'looking for new guitarist'
Ash are looking for a new electric guitar player as they prepare for the departure of temporary member Russell Lissack.
Lissack joined the group as his normal band Bloc Party took a hiatus for the past year and is set to return to the indie collective in the near future, reports the Sun.
Tim Wheeler, the lead singer in Ash, said: "Russell's been brilliant and we'll have him for our festivals hopefully.
"Then we'll have to think. I do enjoy having the second guitarist so we've got our eyes peeled."
Wheeler has been busy with other projects himself recently, helping out Coldplay in the studio as they went about the recording of their latest album.
Last month, the singer and electric guitarist told AAA Music that the music of Ash has been heavily influenced by the Pixies.
He explained both his song-writing and the general sound of his band took inspiration from the group, especially on some of their early singles.
Wheeler recalled that Ash have been lucky enough to play on the same bill as their heroes on a number of occasions, including a pair of shows as their support act in Paris and Berlin.
