Audix Cab Grabber Praised
The Audix Cab Grabber is an incredibly simple product that does exactly what it's supposed to do - making amplifier miking an easier (and tidier) task.
The Cab Grabber eliminates the need of conventional microphone stands when you want to mike-up an amplifier at close range.
To use the cab-grabber, you simply pull on the main shaft until the brackets are further apart than the depth of the cab that you are using.
Once you have the cab-grabber in place, releasing tension will allow the cab-grabber brackets to tighten independently and then unsurprisingly 'grab the cab' that it's being used with.
As Sound On Sound Magazine's reviewer wrote, the Cab Grabber seems like such an obvious product, and it's surprising that it hasn't been available until now.
"It does the job it's designed to do very well, and I can imagine the Cab Grabber becoming a Godsend for engineers in live venues and studios alike."
