Avril Lavigne a normal teenager
Avril Lavigne doesn't feel like she has missed out on life.
The 'What The Hell' singer landed a record deal when she was just 16, but insists she still had a lot of time to experience normal teenage pursuits.
She said: "I had the most normal childhood in a small town and went to high school.
"I had the normal experience. Then, when I was 16, I was gone."
The 26-year-old star also explained she feels her success has lasted so long because she is so comfortable with different groups of people.
She added to Scotland's Daily Record newspaper: "I think I've always just been comfortable with who I am and I never feel I have to fit in with a certain crowd.
"In school, I hung out with all kinds of people from different groups. During my last yer in high school, I was with a skater group.
"I would know people from the goth group and the prep group, but my main group was skating, which meant hanging out with the boys."Posted on 21 Jan 2011 16:15 to category : Music News
