BRIT Awards to be hosted by James Corden

This year's BRIT Awards will be presented by James Corden- who thinks he will do a better job than when he last presented them alongside Mat Horne and Kylie Minogue in 2009.
Great deals on musical instruments

The BRIT Awards 2011 will be presented by James Corden.

The British comedian has signed a three-year deal with the music award show after organisers' inital choice, Justin Timberlake, declined the offer.

James has said he hopes he can deliver a better performance with this year's awards than he did in 2009, when he and comedy partner Mat Horne hosted with Kylie Minogue.

The 31-year-old 'Gavin and Stacey' star said he thinks the show works better with a single host, and that he will be better than 2010 host Peter Kay.

He told The Sun newspaper: "It definitely works better with one host. It's the job I want! After watching Peter Kay I'm sure I could do better. Bring it on! Peter was good but he could have been even more enthusiastic."

This year the awards see their biggest overhaul since their inception, with a change in venue to The O2 in London and a redesigned winner's statue by punk designer Vivienne Westwood - which has the Britannia statuette draped in a in a Union flag dress and wearing a bronze helmet. Also one of the categories will be relaunched, with the renamed MasterCard British Album Of The Year, which will be the climax of the night's awards.

The nominations for 2011 will be announced later today (13.01.11) in London, with Jessie J, Tinie Tempah and Ellie Goulding performing at the event, held at The IndigO2, inside the O2 in London.

The BRIT awards will then take place on February 4.
