Back in the USSR 'best intro to Paul McCartney's music

Paul McCartney recommends Back in the USSR to those new to his music.
Great deals on musical instruments

Former bass guitar player for The Beatles Paul McCartney has claimed that Back in the USSR is the song he would recommend as an introduction to his music.

In an interview with the Sun, the performer claimed that the reason he chose this song as an example of his work is that "my daughter likes it".

Having written some of the most famous and critically acclaimed tracks ever committed to vinyl, including Eleanor Rigby, Let It Be and Helter Skelter, this is praise indeed from McCartney.

The Liverpool-born singer, who has played a variety of instruments over the course of his career, including Fender bass guitars, also has a large back catalogue of hits recorded after his time with The Beatles, such as Mull of Kintyre, Jet and Pipes of Peace.

However, as Back in the USSR was written in 1968, McCartney might need to re-learn the track next time he plans to perform it on his bass guitar.

"I've written so many. It's not like I've written five and I can remember them," he revealed.
