Bass and acoustic guitar shows planned for West Midlands
Two specialist conferences dedicated separately to bass and acoustic guitars are coming to the West Midlands region next year.
Hugo Montgomery-Swan, whose Oyster House company was behind the recent London Drum Show, told MI-Pro that the event will be held at a yet-to-be-disclosed location in the Birmingham area in 2011.
However, he did rule out the NEC as a possible venue for the shows.
Mr Montgomery-Swan said he believes specialist shows dedicated to specific musical instruments are the way forward for the industry.
"We are using the London Drum Show as a model, first in that we'll only move ahead with our plans once we have polled the potential clients in the industry," he added.
An estimated 2,000 people attended the London Drum show, which took place at the Olympia venue on September 4th and 5th.
