Beady Eye to experiment on new album
The former Oasis singer explained to The Sun that while he detests the term “experimenting” it is something that the band are doing for their follow-up to 2011's Different Gear, Still Speeding which reached number three in the UK album charts.
Beady Eye recently entered the studio under the guidance of producer Dave Sitek who has been responsible for material from Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Foals in the past and Gallagher has described the new sound as “majestic”, “imperial”, “out there” and “heavy”.
He told the tabloid newspaper: "It's different to the first [album]. It's been heads down, none of that nonsense from the nineties. It feels like a really special album. You know when you normally go through a door and go, 'Er, I'm not really sure about that'. Well, we've booted the door off the hinges."
Gallagher formed Beady Eye in late 2009 in the wake of the split of Oasis and has gone on to have commercial success with tracks such as The Roller and The Beat Goes On.
