Beatles sleeve 'is the most imitated image in pop music'
The band were photographed for images that were later used on the sleeve of their next album, which they named after the location.
According to the Daily Mail, this album cover has spawned an "astonishing" array of imitations, making it perhaps the most copied record sleeve in pop history.
The newspaper highlighted a number of examples, including covers by The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kanye West and even Paul McCartney.
"Forty years on and 12 million sales later, the most famous album cover of all time has been copied all over the world," it commented.
