Big names band together for charity album.
Some of the biggest names in the music industry have put together their collective treasure trove of music instruments to jam together on a new charity album.
The three-disc compilation album entitled Live From Nowhere You: Volume Two will be released on July 19th on behalf of the homeless charity Outside In.
It features both regular street musicians and global superstars.
Kevin Moyer has been the man responsible for bringing together the compilation, which is a follow up to the 2003 version of the version.
Speaking to Pitchfork, Mr Moyer explained that he got the idea for the CD when he saw a street musician who was better than the band he had just paid to see.
He was perplexed that no-one noticed the musician who was an obvious talent but not a big name.
He told the online news provider: "It made me wonder if these people were consuming music with their eyes, brains, or ears and how people would react to hearing something and not knowing the source, not having skewed perception or social stigmas influencing them."
All profits from this release will be donated to Outside In, a charity that is focused on providing aid and counselling to young homeless people.
