Bill Wyman reunites with Rolling Stones for cover song
Bass guitar player Bill Wyman has reunited with his former bandmates in the Rolling Stones to record a special cover song.
Wyman joined up with the rest of the group in the studio to perform their own version of Bob Dylan track Watching the River Flow, reports NME.
The completed version of the song is due to feature on a tribute album for Ian Stewart, a piano player who had worked with the Stones from the early 1960s up until his death from a heart attack in 1985.
Entitled Boogie for Stu and due to be released in March, the record features a contribution from singer-songwriter PJ Harvey, while Rolling Stones' electric guitar player Keith Richards has played on three tracks on the LP.
The Rolling Stones are one of the most-successful and long-running groups in the history of pop music, making $550 million (£354.8 million) from their recent A Bigger Bang world tour, which took place between August 2005 and August 2007.
Over the course of the run of gigs, the group played to more than 4.5 million people in 118 cities across 32 different countries, performing 147 shows in the process.
