Björk: Get creative with Biophilia apps

Icelandic songstress Björk encourages fans to find innovative ways of using Apple-only apps.
Great deals on musical instruments

The outspoken Björk has lived up to her inimitable reputation by urging fans to "hack" her Biophilia apps that accompany her new studio album.

The apps are only available on Apple devices but that hasn't stopped her from airing her sentiments about that by encouraging her ardent followers to modify the music software to fit in with other operating systems.

Speaking to Drowned in Sound, she said: "I'm not supposed to say this, probably, but I'm trusting that the pirates out there won't tie their hands behind their back... That's why we really made sure when we wrote all the programs that they will transfer to other systems."

The Icelandic singer is pushing the boundaries of creativity with a full-on multimedia onslaught that has put her up there with today's music innovators.

Not only has she commissioned the creation of new music instruments for her upcoming tour, she has also invested in the latest state-of-the-art entertainment systems to give concert goers an experience they will not forget.

The musician will be showing off some of her latest gizmos at the Airwaves Festival in Iceland.

Yoko Ono is also billed to play with her interestingly named outfit the Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band.
