Black Sabbath drummer offers advice to young musicians
The man who played the drum kit on rock classics such as Paranoid and Children of the Grave has told musicians to have a laugh when they are out on the road.
Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward, who co-founded the band in 1968, told people who are in bands that touring is supposed to be fun.
He has therefore urged aspiring stars to avoid being all serious and to make sure they have a laugh every single day.
"Otherwise there's no point in being out there," he commented.
Speaking to ClashMusic, Ward added that he thoroughly enjoys performing live, as being on stage feels "normal and really, really nice".
"It feels like I'm with my entire family and that I know everybody there," he stated.
However, Ward insisted that a drummer in a rock band must be physically fit if they want to get through a tour unscathed.Posted on 8 Nov 2009 10:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
