Blink 182 'hopeful for summer release of new record'
Travis Barker, the man behind the drum kit in Blink 182, has said the band have passed the halfway stage on recording their new album.
Speaking to Billboard, the star explained it is difficult to say what the completed record will sound like at this stage, but he is feeling positive about how it is shaping up so far.
Barker added fans should not have too long to wait before the LP is in stores.
"I believe we're planning on turning it in in July and out hopefully in the summer," the drummer stated. "I think a summer tour and summer album would be nice, but I can't really say anything yet."
Blink 182 have already been booked to play a series of arena shows in the UK later in the year.
The electric guitar band will kick off a run of gigs in this country in Birmingham on July 1st, going on to play in cities including Liverpool, Sheffield, Manchester, Newcastle and London in the same month.
During this time, Blink 182 have also been booked to perform sets at the T in the Park and Oxegen festivals.Posted on 10 Apr 2011 09:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
