Bloc Party's future is unclear, admits Kele
Bloc Party's frontman Kele Okereke has admitted he is not sure whether the band will work together again.
The group are currently on hiatus as its members pursue other projects and the electric guitar player told NME he does not know when or if they will reform.
"I'm not very good at restarting things in my personal life like if I break up with someone, I tend to close the door," Okereke stated, adding that the other members of Bloc Party also have to decide whether they want the group to continue.
Okereke is to release his first debut album later this month and said he had enjoyed the process of making the record, especially as he had full control over all of the musical and artistic decisions.
Earlier this year, Bloc Party guitarist Russell Lissack joined indie band Ash for a tour of the UK.
Lissack is now also involved in a separate group called Pin Me Down.Posted on 13 Jun 2010 09:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
