Blur 'set to reunite in January'
Electric guitar band Blur could be getting back together again in January, lead singer Damon Albarn has revealed.
The busy musician is currently on tour with Gorillaz but told Sky News that his other main band may be reformed for a brief period in early 2011.
"We did talk about doing something in January, something small, no career-based world domination ideas," Albarn said.
He added he is enjoying juggling different projects and his current prolific spurt of music making.
"Once I stopped seeing it as a career and just started making music - things have got a lot easier," he stated.
Albarn is also in the process of completing a record with another side-project which features Red Hot Chili Peppers' bass guitar player Flea and Fela Kuti's drummer Tony Allen.
He told Stuff magazine recently the trio are around 75 per cent of the way through finishing their first album.
