Bombay Bicycle Club 'returning to electric guitars for next record'
Indie band Bombay Bicycle Club have revealed they will be strapping on their electric guitars again for their next record. Their last album Flaws was made using acoustic guitars and despite its success, the band are looking forward to taking a different approach this time around.
Lead guitarist Jamie MacColl told Spoonfed there are eight songs written and ready to record, with a June 2011 finish date for the LP pencilled in by the band. He said the group feel reinvigorated to be returning to their electric guitars, after not using the instruments during the making of Flaws.
The band are currently preparing to play three special shows in London. They are to perform two acoustic gigs on December 4th at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, with a electric show lined up for the Troxy the following day.
Bombay Bicycle Club will head on a North American tour next March, with dates planned in New York, Austin and Toronto.
