Bon Jovi named as highest-grossing live act of 2010
Electric guitar band Bon Jovi made $201.1 million (£130.1 million) from their touring commitments in 2010.
The group have been revealed as the highest-grossing live act of the year following research by concert trade publication Pollstar, which revealed many of the best-performing artists are those who have been around for decades.
Second place in the poll went to AC/DC, who made $177 million, while U2 were in third with ticket receipts of $160.9 million.
There were also places in the top ten for Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney, former Pink Floyd star Roger Waters and experienced electric guitar band Metallica.
Two relatively young acts also made an impression in the list, with Lady Gaga and Michael Buble in fourth and six positions respectively.
Pollstar editor-in-chief Gary Bongiovanni said concert ticket sales had been better outside of the US for many artists during 2010.
"In general, the international concert business was stronger than in North America, where overbooked and overpriced shows at outdoor amphitheatre venues made it an especially difficult year," he explained.
Bon Jovi will be back in the UK in June, with stadium shows planned in Edinburgh, Manchester and Bristol.
