Bonamassa chose Gibson 'for warmth'
Famed blues guitar player Joe Bonamassa has revealed why he decided to start using the Gibson Les Paul to create his music.
"You can get more weight from a Les Paul," he remarked. "I think you get more texture and I also feel that you create a sound that's a little more warm and more pleasing to the ears."
Bonamassa was considered a guitar prodigy, hitting the headlines at the age of 12 when he was invited to perform as the opening act for BB King.
He had an endorsement deal with Fender during the early stages of his career before moving on to Gibson, which recently created the Joe Bonamassa signature Gibson Les Paul.
