Boy George has Club regrets
Boy George regrets the constant in-band fighting and bitchiness that tore Culture Club apart.
The flamboyant singer admits his "completely destructive" relationship with former lover and bandmate Jon Moss played a huge part in the band's demise in 1986 as well as his drug use.
George said: "I suppose I got to the point where I thought I can't keep living in the past. I find him calmer, but I suppose that's because I'm calmer.
"I don't look at him and go, 'Ugh, you ruined my life. It was an amazing adventure."
Last year, the 'Karma Chameleon' hitmaker served four months of a 15-month sentence for false imprisonment of a male escort, who he attacked with a chain.
Moss wanted to visit George in prison but couldn't because his ex-lover only wanted to see his family.
Moss said: "George realised that whatever he was doing in the last 10 years, he made some wrong turns, lost his self-esteem to come extent.
"But I've always believed in George. I still love him."
The pair reconciled after a chance meeting in a pub two summers ago.
George - real name George O'Dowd - said: "Before that I would just say hello and go on my way. This time around I said give me a call and we'll have coffee or something. I reached out a bit."
The reconciliation has sparked rumours of a Culture Club reunion, as next year will mark the 30th anniversary of the release of their debut album 'Kissing to Be Clever'.
Speaking about the potential comeback, George, 48, said: "I think we could do a one-off gig or maybe a small tour. But unfortunately, with all these reunions you get to a point where you start remembering why you left."Posted on 12 May 2010 07:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
