Brad Paisley reveals his acoustic guitar origins
Diary of a Player: How My Musical Heroes Made a Guitar Man Out of Me is Paisley’s first book and a fascinating story about how other musicians inspired him.
"This is a rough road. This is more like, you find that thing, whether it's a guitar or a paintbrush or a tape recorder. I don't know what it is," he told the Associated Press.
"Whatever you're good at milking — a cow — go do that. If you're great at something, all these doors will open. And I believe that."
In the book, which was co-written by David Wild, Paisley cites his grandfather Warren Jarvis as the principal architect behind him becoming an accomplished guitarist.
His grandfather was the man who made him fall in love with the acoustic instrument.
