Brakes and British Sea Power stars collaborate on football song
British Sea Power guitar player Mark Noble has joined forces with Brakes members Marc Beatty and Eamon Hamilton to record a special song inspired by the ongoing World Cup.
The track is entitled Football (Kick it in the Goal) and is being released under the name The Bench Warmers.
It is being offered to fans of both bands as a free download, available through British Sea Power's website.
The indie band have a busy touring schedule ahead of them for the rest of 2010, with festival appearances set to include performances at Reading and Leeds, Kendal Calling and Beautiful Days.
Between the end of September and the beginning of November, British Sea Power will accompany Manic Street Preachers on an extensive tour of the UK.
