Brandon Flowers hires three producers for solo album
Brandon Flowers, the lead singer in electric guitar band The Killers, has hired three famous producers to help him make his first solo album.
Flowers has drafted in Brendan O'Brien, who has worked with Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam in the past, along with U2 producer Daniel Lanois and Stuart Price, who has collaborated with Madonna.
Speaking to Xfm, Flowers said: "I got the dream team."
He added that the trio had helped him take his music in unexpected directions, with Price helping him give "rootsy" songs a more futuristic feel.
"It was also great to see the opposite happen when I thought a song would be synth-driven and then become a real rock song," he added.
Flowers is not the only member of The Killers embarking on new music away from the band at the moment.
Bassist Mark Stoermer and electric guitar player Dave Keuning are working together on new material of their own, while drummer Ronnie Vannucci has teamed up with Keane's Tim Rice-Oxley for new group Mt Desolation, reports the Sun.Posted on 7 Jun 2010 22:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
