Brian Ray explains love for Gibson guitars
In an interview with the guitar maker's website, Brian Ray claimed that looking at the instruments lined up in the windows of shops, along with listening to the sounds of Chuck Berry solos, helped him fall in love with them.
"I would get all sugared up on French fries and Coca-Cola, and just spend all day just gawking at these great things, these Gibson guitars lying up there on the wall," he explained.
However, the veteran rocker said that he has a place in his heart for all the instruments in the average band – such as piano and drums – and only gave up playing them because his friends were better than him.
Music teacher Arik Stack recently told the KTAR website that learning to play a musical instrument can make a person happier and children should be encouraged to learn how to play music to improve their brains.
