Bruce Springsteen 'to publish life story'
Fender Telecaster player Bruce Springsteen is believed to be planning to publish an autobiography.
According to the New York Post, the veteran rocker's book will be based on extensive diaries that he has kept over the years.
Rumours of a bidding war among publishers are already doing the rounds, with some insiders predicting that book companies could pay as much as £6 million for the rights.
Indeed, one unnamed source predicted that this could be the "biggest rock music autobiography of all time".
Springsteen, who this week appeared at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with the E Street Band, has enjoyed a hugely successful 2009.
His latest album Working on a Dream was released in January and reached number one across the world.
