Bruce Springsteen's Hyde Park gig to feature on DVD
Fans of legendary electric guitar player Bruce Springsteen will be able to purchase a new DVD featuring one of his recent gigs.
The American musician headlined the Hard Rock Calling Festival in Hyde Park, London last June and the footage from the show is to be released as a 163-minute long documentary.
His performance at the show was widely praised, with the Times describing it as "epic".
"Springsteen's intensity was staggering from first powerful vocal to final thrashed-out chord," the Independent's reviewer stated at the time.
The Fender Telecaster player's performance at Glastonbury last year is also included on the disc as part of the bonus features.
It is scheduled to be released on June 27th 2010.
Last week, Springsteen put out a special live recording of Wrecking Ball in support of Record Store Day, which took place on April 17th in support of independent music shops.
The B side to the vinyl single was a live recording of The Ghost of Tom Joad featuring Rage Against the Machine's Tom Morello.Posted on 21 Apr 2010 15:46 to category : Music News
