Among the music instrument players there will be the band Scouting For Girls, while performers from musical Jersey Boys will also get involved, according to the BBC.
Scouting For Girls are behind well-known numbers such as Elvis Ain't Dead, This Ain't A Love Song and She's So Lovely.
The night was announced by Steve Wright and is taking place in aid of Children In Need, as its name suggests. Staged at London's Prince Edward Theatre, it is going to be happening on October 22nd.
“BBC Children In Need is a vital part of Radio 2 and we are delighted once again to be playing our part in such a worthwhile cause,” Radio 2 controller Bob Shennan has said.
Other Radio 2 Children In Need events include Sir Terry Wogan's Savoy Theatre-set Weekend Wogan programme come October 28th.
