Chas 'not expecting to reunite with Dave'
Chas and Dave enjoyed considerable chart success over four decades with hits such as Snooker Loopy, Rabbit and Ain't No Pleasing You.
However, the duo this week announced that they are parting company following the death of Dave's wife Sue from lung cancer earlier this year.
Speaking to the Times, Chas revealed that he does not expect the bass guitar player to change his mind.
He commented: "About three weeks ago I saw him and he said 'look Chas, I ain't coming back to work.
"Do I think he'll change his mind? I don't think that'll happen."
Chas will honour the band's existing live commitments without Dave under the name of Chas And His Band.
He added that if Dave does decide that he wants to resume their partnership, Chas and Dave can run alongside his solo act.Posted on 25 Sep 2009 16:00 to category : Band / Celebrity News
