Chase and Status tour in tracksuits
Chase and Status' essential touring items include "tracksuit trousers and slippers".
The British drum and bass duo have a busy summer of festivals - where they will play with a full live band - and DJ appearances ahead of them, and said comfort is very important to them on the road, although their most essential items are the ones which keep them making music and in touch with the rest of the world.
Chase, real name Saul Milton, said: "Essentials are tracksuit trousers, slippers, and I like to smoke, so smoke on tour, and the most important thing - as it is every day - is my iPhone.
"I watch television on there, I watch films, listen to music. And, also obviously our laptops to make music on the road. They're the two things I can't live without iPhone and laptop."
Chase added recording songs on the move has led to the pair - who have been making and DJing music together since 2004 - to come up with some very different ideas for each of the tracks they write.
He added to efestivals.co.uk: "We've recorded three things this week, and they're all different. One is a grimey fused rock dub-step influenced track. Another one is a hardcore-esque kind of beautiful vocal kind of moment. And the last one is a quite off key bongo driven drum and bass track. So there's all flavours."
Chase and Status - real name Will Kennard - will appear at festivals across Europe this summer.Posted on 6 May 2010 07:00 to category : Music News
