Cheryl Cole goes urban for new album
The tiny pop star, who has had a rough few months after her US X Factor debacle, is rumoured to be chatting to megastar Eminem and current female rap queen Nicki Minaj on collaborations.
There has even been talk of her securing Usher and Rihanna on her third studio album, which she has been busy with the last few months.
An insider close to the Geordie singer told the Daily Star: "Cheryl's album is finally coming together now and is sounding incredible. It's completely different to anything she's brought out before and has much more of an urban vibe to her previous pop-based stuff. There's a lot of heavy beats and it has a real old-school flavour to it."
This could be the boost she needs to crack the US market, which, along with reports she has landed her first Hollywood role alongside uber-celebrities Jennifer Lopez and Cameron Diaz, would catapult her to stardom.
