Clavia bring new synths to Musikmesse 2013
The Swedish company has unveiled the Nord Lead 4 and the Nord Drum 2, a follow-up to the popular Nord Drum model which was released 12 months ago, ideal for live performances and recording in the studio.
Clavia's Nord Lead 4 is a four-part multi-timbral synthesizer featuring a two-oscillator virtual analogue sound engine complete with 2X oversampling. Musicians will be able to access the 'True Voice Unison' which creates four oscillators per voice for thick leads and pads.
The Nord Drum 2 builds on the success of its predecessor and features six pads as opposed to the four that were featured in other models. It includes resonance modeling, FM-synthesis, distortion effect and stereo output among a host of other aspects.
Clavia is displaying the new products at Musikmesse in Frankfurt, joining a host of multinational companies in the grand hall over the coming weekend where visitors will be entertained with live performances and demonstrations.
The Nord Lead 4 and Nord Drum 2 are priced at £1,549 and £399 respectively.
