Coldplay pay tribute to Michael Jackson
The rock group were performing at Wembley Stadium on Friday night when they unveiled the surprise addition to the setlist to a delighted crowd.
According to NME, the track garnered an "emphatic response" from the audience, who had already been treated to Coldplay classics such as Yellow, Clocks and Viva La Vida.
Jackson, who notched up a string of worldwide hits including Beat It, Thriller and Black or White, passed away in June at the age of 50.
Coldplay fans received a further bonus when Shaun of the Dead star Simon Pegg, who recently appeared in the new Star Trek movie, showed up on stage.
The actor played the harmonica with Chris Martin and co during Trouble.
Coldplay's setlist also included In My Place, The Scientist, Rhyming Song and Death Will Never Conquer.
